I was able to get it to work locally with these commands: sbt package and spark-submit –driver-class-path ~/.m2/repository/org/postgresql/postgresql/9.3-1102-jdbc41/postgresql-9.3-1102-j‌​dbc41.jar target/scala-2.10/simple-project_2.10-1.0.jar
